Let’s Meet Ki, Founder of Chic in Sneaks™

My first pair of sneakers I loved in the late 90s were the Nike Uptempo 96s. I remember begging my Grandpa to buy them when he came to visit, and since he was always gonna come through in the clutch – he couldn’t say no. This is the exact moment I fell in love with sneakers. I remember how they smelled, how they felt in my hands. It’s safe to say I’ve been hooked ever since.

My personal style is influenced by my hometown Charlotte, NC and the flashiness of my Granny’s personality that evolved in New York; which is why the Chic in Sneaks™ tagline is, “where grit meets glam”. Even on the days where I want to be more lowkey, reserved and chill – my boldness always seems to make an appearance.
